Can we suggest various outdoor pursuits for you? :-

FISHING:-
The area has some of the finest salmon fishing in Scotland, including the Oykel, Cassley, Shin and Carron, all having world-wide reputations. Brown trout fishing is of a high standard in the local hill lochs, making for excellent sport and is suitable for children and the inexperienced.
Salmon fishing on the Cassley begins on the 11th January and closes on 30th September and is by fly only.
Although most of the fishing is by weekly let, let annually, it is possible to obtain rods through the Hotel. Trout and sea trout fishing can also be arranged on request.

GOLF:-
There are many golf courses nearby and several have a beach adjacent, fun for all the family. The standard ranges from Championship to local 9 hole courses.

BEACHES:-
You are within easy travelling distance of beaches on the West, East and North coasts, most of them you will "have to yourself". Look at the weather forecast and choose your direction!

CASTLES etc:-
You have a great range to choose from Brochs about 2,000 years old to relatively "modern" castles like Dunrobin at Golspie, an absolute must.
